Graphic Design Online Adjunct I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Instruct undergraduate and/or graduate students in the online Graphic Design program.

• Deliver online courses in Graphic Design, Animation, Design Foundations, Typography, and Web and UX/UI design at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

• Oversee and enhance lectures, discussions, and course assignments utilizing current industry-standard methodologies.

• Offer consistent and timely feedback to students and supervisors to foster improved student understanding, execution, and achievement.

• Assess student submissions and provide comprehensive critiques.

• Ensure timely submission of grades.

• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, software, and technologies.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Animation, or 2D Design, along with a solid record of professional accomplishments.

• Active designer with practical experience in graphic design, animation, or studio art.

• Proficient in skills related to print and new media design, animation software, and current design and web development tools.

• A portfolio link must be included in the resume/curriculum vitae.

• Preferred: A Master of Fine Arts (MFA) with three or more years of full-time online teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels, or equivalent experience.

• Preferred for animation instructors: a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in 2D and/or 3D Animation coursework.

• Preferred for animation instructors: familiarity with animation/3D modeling software and 4–5 years of animation experience.

• Preferred: expertise in modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting, and animating.

• Preferred: understanding of the design process and storyboarding techniques.

• Preferred: additional experience in online course development and instruction.

• Expected to engage in ongoing professional and creative development.

• Preferred: a history of publication in academic or trade journals.

• Preferred: an established research agenda.
