This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the entire process of grant applications from the initial client kickoff to the final submission, ensuring adherence to all requirements and deadlines.
• Create project timelines, define milestones, and establish go/no-go decision points that align with solicitation criteria, while assigning project tasks to the relevant team members.
• Act as the main liaison between CFS and clients/partners, providing weekly updates on project progress and outstanding action items.
• Coordinate the efforts of writers and technical experts within proposal teams, maintaining a balance between expertise and workload to prevent burnout.
• Ensure compliance with EU grant regulations and the EU Grant Agreement framework; manage submissions through the EU Funding and Tenders Portal as well as relevant national portals.
• Provide strategic advice to client teams regarding competitive positioning and partnership development, assisting in the formulation of applications to optimize funding success.
• A Bachelor’s degree (or its international equivalent).
• Proficiency in English.
• At least six years of experience in grant project management or grant writing, including a minimum of three years as the lead project manager on funded grant proposals.
• Strong scientific or technical background related to climate solutions.
• Experience managing applications to EU funding agencies, including but not limited to Horizon Europe, the European Innovation Council (EIC), the EU Innovation Fund, and the LIFE Programme.
• In-depth understanding of EU grant compliance, including Horizon Europe Programme Rules, the EU Grant Agreement framework, and relevant State Aid regulations.
• Familiarity with the EU Funding and Tenders Portal; experience with national portals is an advantage.
• Proficient in Asana, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other standard project management and collaboration tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of working independently in a dynamic startup environment.
