This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the entire process of grant applications from the initial client kickoff to the final submission, ensuring adherence to all regulations and deadlines.
β’ Create project timelines, milestones, and decision points that align with solicitation requirements, while developing tasks assigned to the relevant team members.
β’ Act as the main liaison between CFS and clients/partners, delivering weekly updates on project progress and outstanding action items.
β’ Manage coordination among writers and technical experts within proposal teams to balance expertise and workload, preventing burnout.
β’ Ensure compliance with federal grant regulations (2 CFR 200) and manage budget and standard forms (SF424 family), overseeing submissions on federal platforms (SAM.gov, Grants.gov Workspace, DOE eXCHANGE) and pertinent state platforms.
β’ Provide strategic advice to client teams regarding competitive positioning and partnership development, assisting in crafting applications to optimize funding results.
β’ Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between CFS team members and external partners to guarantee efficient proposal development and submission.
β’ Bachelor's degree (or an equivalent qualification from an international institution).
β’ Proficiency in English.
β’ A minimum of six years of experience in grant project management or grant writing, with at least three years serving as the lead project manager on funded grant proposals.
β’ Strong scientific or technical expertise related to climate solutions.
β’ Experience in managing applications for climate-focused federal and state agencies, including, but not limited to, the US Department of Energy (DOE), US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Department of Defense/War (DOD/DOW), National Science Foundation (NSF), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), California Energy Commission (CEC), New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), and MassCEC.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge of federal grant compliance regulations (2 CFR 200) and federal grant budgets and standard forms (SF424 family).
β’ Familiarity with federal grant submission platforms such as SAM.gov, Grants.gov Workspace, and DOE eXCHANGE; experience with state platforms is an advantage.
β’ Proficient in Asana, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other standard project management and collaboration tools.
β’ Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
β’ Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
β’ Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, capable of working independently in a dynamic startup environment.
β’ Possess the necessary equipment, technical skills, flexibility, and temperament to work fully remotely with international teams and clients, including weekday availability to monitor and respond to project communications.
