This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Prepare and submit grants and contracts by adhering to the pre-award processes, following both Sponsor and Duke regulations.
• Provide guidance to faculty/PI regarding administrative requirements for proposal submissions.
• Oversee budget management, effort allocation, reporting, and compliance timelines throughout the grant or contract lifecycle.
• Reconcile monthly budget reports and notify faculty/PI and/or supervisor of any necessary corrections or adjustments.
• Create a project management plan for review by the faculty/PI or senior-level grants administrator.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Preference for candidates with education and/or certification in research or grants management.
• No prior experience is necessary if the candidate holds a directly related degree.
• Prior experience in grants management, research administration, or financial analysis is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to manage intricate financial data.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with sponsored research regulations is preferred.
