Grant Writer

📋 Description

• The Grant Writer is a member of the EVE team responsible for supporting all programs within EVE’s framework.

• This role involves writing and applying for grants that are in alignment with EVE’s mission and objectives, utilizing a pipeline of opportunities provided.

• Daily responsibilities include crafting and submitting high-quality grant proposals, conducting necessary research to bolster applications, developing grant budgets, and writing persuasive narratives while effectively communicating with internal stakeholders.

• Spearhead the creation of compelling grant applications that clearly convey the missions, programs, and impacts of EVE entities.

• Perform thorough grant research utilizing both internal data and external resources to enhance the competitiveness of proposals.

• Prepare and submit letters of inquiry, reports, and associated materials with an emphasis on clarity, impact, and alignment with funders.

• Integrate programmatic, financial, and impact data from internal sources and partners to construct persuasive narratives, outcomes, and budgets for grant submissions.

• Work closely with the Philanthropy team and other departments to manage funding priorities effectively.

• Oversee the grant pipeline to assess and prioritize grant opportunities that correspond with organizational objectives and funding strategies.

• Monitor grant activities and outcomes utilizing Salesforce and other systems to facilitate proposal development, reporting, and strategic grant planning.

• Assist in cultivating relationships with funders through strong written communication and strategic proposal development.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required.

• A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in non-profit fundraising.

• A demonstrated commitment to promoting educational and economic equity for underserved communities.

• Familiarity with Salesforce and other CRM platforms to aid in grant tracking and data management.

• Capability to juggle multiple priorities in a complex setting.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Quick learner with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.

• Exceptional tact and discretion, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
