This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide expert technical leadership and oversight for monitoring, evaluation, learning, and performance management of a significant institutional grant-funded program or project.
• Drive MEL activities throughout the entire project lifecycle, from the proposal phase to project closeout.
• Ensure that program monitoring, indicator tracking, data collection, measurement methodologies, reporting processes, and learning agendas meet donor requirements, align with organizational standards, and adhere to industry best practices.
• Collaborate effectively with partner NGOs, national offices, global program stakeholders, and institutional grant management teams.
• Offer technical guidance and enhance capacity in MEL systems, data quality, knowledge management, and donor reporting obligations.
• Support comprehensive child development and provide subject matter expertise in monitoring, evaluating, and learning related to institutional grants.
• Design and enhance MEL systems for complex programs funded by institutional donors.
• Contribute to theories of change, logical frameworks, performance measurement plans, indicators, targets, data collection methodologies, evaluation approaches, and learning agendas during the proposal development stage.
• Supervise program performance monitoring and results measurement, including the collection, validation, analysis, and reporting of program data and performance indicators.
• Ensure adherence to donor and organizational requirements for MEL, performance management, data quality, documentation, and reporting.
• Prepare for donor reviews, evaluations, and audits effectively.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, generate actionable insights, and facilitate evidence-based decision-making.
• Maintain data quality assurance processes, tools, and guidelines.
• Facilitate the capture, sharing, and application of lessons learned, evaluation findings, promising practices, and program evidence.
• Utilize digital tools, data systems, dashboards, and technological solutions to enhance data collection, analysis, visualization, reporting, and organizational learning.
• Mentor and provide technical expertise to other MEL professionals and support staff.
• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Consistently serve as a witness for Jesus Christ with a courteous, Christ-like demeanor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, International Development, Social Sciences, Public Health, Statistics, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience leading Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) initiatives for complex international development programs.
• Demonstrated success in supporting large institutional donor-funded grants and meeting donor compliance requirements.
• Strong expertise in performance measurement, indicator tracking, data quality assurance, and reporting.
• Proficient in MEL technologies, data collection platforms, dashboards, and data visualization tools.
• Commitment to child protection considerations and adherence to Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct.
• Ability to report concerns regarding child abuse, neglect, or exploitation through Compassion’s internal reporting process.
