Golang Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Create and develop high-performance services: Design and maintain scalable APIs (gRPC and REST).

• Take ownership of the entire delivery process: Manage microservices from gathering requirements to deployment and ongoing operational support.

• Collaborate across teams: Engage with Product, DevOps, and other departments to convert feature requests into technical solutions.

• Advocate for engineering excellence: Establish and promote best practices such as code reviews, automated testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Ensure adherence to compliance and security: Follow security protocols, coding standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Enhance production efficiency: Monitor and enhance service reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness in production environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of backend development experience, including 3+ years utilizing Golang in a production setting.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing and evolving gRPC and REST-based APIs at scale.

• Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud-native patterns.

• Practical experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and contemporary DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional English communication skills.

• Regular engagement with AI tools to enhance productivity and decision-making.

• Capability to utilize AI tools in a responsible manner.
