GNC Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Establishing GNC architectures along with their corresponding technical roadmaps.

• Converting mission and system requirements into effective GNC design solutions.

• Creating strategies for navigation, control, and estimation.

• Overseeing the interfaces among GNC, avionics, systems, software, and AIT teams.

• Assisting in system modeling, simulation, and performance analysis activities.

• Directing technical trade studies and making design decisions.

• Participating in design reviews and technical governance processes.

• Aiding in integration, verification, validation, and operational readiness efforts.

• Recognizing and addressing technical risks related to GNC performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in the Space industry (mandatory).

• Extensive experience in Guidance, Navigation & Control engineering for spacecraft, satellites, launch systems, or other aerospace platforms.

• Profound knowledge of spacecraft dynamics, orbital mechanics, attitude determination, and control systems.

• Experience in defining or owning GNC architectures within complex engineering programs.

• Proficiency in system modeling, simulation, and performance analysis.

• Experience with managing requirements, as well as verification and validation processes.

• Solid understanding of the complete engineering lifecycle, from concept through qualification and operations.

• Skilled in MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling and simulation tools.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
