This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee the creation and implementation of global sourcing strategies that promote a resilient, cost-effective, and sustainable supply network for Sobi’s clinical and commercial manufacturing.
• Integrate a strategic and commercial approach to assess and enhance sourcing decisions throughout the product lifecycle — from development through commercialization and life-cycle management.
• Foster collaboration across Technical Operations, Legal, Tax, Finance, and other essential stakeholders to negotiate and execute complex, high-value global contracts.
• Develop and uphold a strategic sourcing roadmap, ensuring it aligns with Sobi’s business objectives and long-term vision.
• Participate in due diligence for business development initiatives, offering crucial insights on manufacturing and sourcing prospects.
• Anticipate market developments and evaluate supplier capabilities to provide data-driven sourcing recommendations that bolster Sobi’s competitive advantage.
• Lead the business case development for Technical Operations projects, from financial approval to contract execution, while continually refining sourcing processes and procurement policies to enhance efficiency and innovation.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Science, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• At least 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector, specifically in sourcing, procurement, or outsourced manufacturing.
• Demonstrated success in negotiating complex, high-value global contracts based on factual data in a multicultural environment.
• Knowledge of cGMP manufacturing and international regulatory standards.
• Experience working within global, matrixed organizations and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
• Outstanding communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
• Strong financial and analytical capabilities (COGS and cost structures).
• Proficiency in global sourcing strategies and supplier performance management.
