This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Oversee comprehensive strategic sourcing projects, ranging from spend analysis and market research to supplier selection, contract negotiation, and operational transitions.
• Formulate category strategies that encompass total cost of ownership, risk mitigation, sustainability, responsible procurement, innovation, and measurable return on investment (ROI).
• Execute complex RFx processes for high-value procurements.
• Establish and nurture strategic relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Examine spend data and market intelligence to uncover opportunities for consolidation, cost reduction, and process enhancements.
• Lead cross-functional teams across various business units, including legal, finance, operations, Facility Management, and Property Management.
• Negotiate master service agreements, pricing models, and enterprise-level contract terms.
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with strategic suppliers.
• Deliver executive-level reports, insights, and strategic recommendations to Supply Chain leadership, senior stakeholders, and C-suite clients.
• Implement standardized sourcing frameworks and processes across multiple accounts.
• A bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in commercial real estate, facilities management, or professional services environments is required.
• 7–10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management is necessary.
• Proven success in managing complex, high-value sourcing initiatives; expertise in facility services is strongly preferred.
• Leadership experience overseeing high-performing teams and engaging senior stakeholders across various organizational levels and locations is essential.
• A history of leading enterprise-level negotiations and achieving significant cost savings and process improvements in complex, multi-site settings.
• Strong analytical skills in spend analysis, market research, total cost modeling, and financial evaluation of sourcing decisions.
• Outstanding stakeholder management and interpersonal skills; capacity to influence, build consensus, translate sourcing strategies into business outcomes, and present intricate information to executives.
• Advanced knowledge of sourcing methodologies, contract structures, procurement best practices, compliance protocols, and risk management frameworks.
• High proficiency with procurement systems, spend analysis tools, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel with advanced formulas and pivot tables, PowerPoint, and Word.
• A master's degree, MBA, or professional certification such as CPSM, CPM, CIPS, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Experience in Life Sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or related regulated industries is preferred.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations, GMP requirements, and Life Sciences quality systems is preferred.
• Experience in implementing strategic sourcing programs or procurement transformations is preferred.
• Experience managing direct reports, developing teams, and mentoring on advanced RFP/bid methodologies is preferred.
• Familiarity with Jaggaer, Ariba, or similar enterprise procurement platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of contract law, sustainability frameworks, responsible procurement, and compliance requirements is preferred.
