This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Advocate for Meliá Hotels International’s extensive portfolio to meeting planners, sourcing managers, incentive houses, and key decision-makers in order to cultivate new RFP opportunities and enhance group booking conversions.
• Identify and cultivate new MICE business opportunities within designated territories.
• Establish and nurture relationships with third-party clients, end-user accounts, hotel sales partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Assist in contract negotiations, sales follow-ups, and business development efforts.
• Generate leads and ensure precise reporting in Salesforce/MARS.
• Engage in trade shows, sales missions, networking events, and customer activations.
• Promote hotel offerings, destination experiences, and brand value propositions.
• Organize and execute roadshows, networking events, familiarization trips, site inspections, incentive experiences, and Meliá Signature Experiences.
• Oversee event logistics, which include venues, airfare, transportation, rooming lists, vendors, gifting, branding, entertainment, and on-site execution.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, operational checklists, and event communications.
• Serve as a liaison among sales teams, hotel leadership, clients, vendors, and partners.
• Manage attendee coordination, client profiles, travel logistics, and event documentation.
• Support immersive customer experiences and bolster global brand visibility.
• Monitor event ROI, attendance, feedback, and generated business opportunities.
• Strong global sales acumen with a proactive approach to business development and relationship management.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Proven track record in sales, meeting planning, hospitality event management, and project coordination.
• Experience in managing meetings, roadshows, conferences, networking events, and VIP experiences.
• Strong capabilities in sales, organization, time management, budgeting, and multitasking.
• Ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environment.
• Experience coordinating travel, venues, vendors, rooming lists, and on-site event operations.
• Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce/MARS, Cvent, and RFP management tools.
• Knowledgeable about the hospitality and MICE industry.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including evenings and weekends.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality sales, meeting planning, event management, or a related MICE-focused role is preferred.
• Experience in hospitality, hotel, destination marketing, or the meetings and incentives industry is strongly preferred.
• A degree in Hospitality & Tourism is preferred.
• Native or bilingual proficiency in English.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of handling sensitive situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
