Global Principal Procurement Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Lead and implement cost reduction and value enhancement initiatives across Direct Commodities in collaboration with Commodity Managers.

• Formulate and utilize target costing strategies in partnership with R&D and Product Management.

• Perform cost breakdown analyses and challenge supplier pricing based on manufacturing processes and market benchmarks.

• Benchmark global suppliers in cooperation with Commodity Managers, identify optimal cost sourcing opportunities, and facilitate complex negotiations with suppliers to achieve the best commercial results.

• Assist in early supplier involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects to guarantee cost-effective design choices in line with the Project Procurement Managers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.

• Over 8 years of experience in procurement engineering, cost engineering, or strategic sourcing.

• Knowledge of Advanced Cost Management Tools, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Design-to-Cost (DtC), Clean Sheet Costing, and Activity-Based Costing (ABC).

• Demonstrated success in complex price and contract negotiations.

• Proficient in English at a negotiation level.
