Global Ocean Freight & Logistics Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Global Ocean Freight and Transportation operations of Rangen Group.

• Identify global leveraged volume pricing opportunities and negotiate favorable rates for shipments.

• Evaluate bids and actual performance, and perform audits on contracts and bids.

• Collaborate across functions to create and implement long-term strategies.

• Ensure that planning processes and systems adhere to corporate policies.

• Cultivate vendor relationships and address operational challenges.

• Maintain compliance with international trade laws and customs regulations for cross-border shipments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Logistics, or relevant experience.

• A minimum of 7 years in ocean freight management, procurement, logistics, or a related field.

• In-depth knowledge and expertise in the logistics/supply chain sector, particularly in ocean freight.

• Strong analytical capabilities combined with exceptional planning and organizational skills to identify opportunities for cost efficiency.

• Proven negotiation skills essential for ongoing vendor contract evaluations.

• Focused on continuous improvement and process optimization.

• Ability to interpret and enforce policies uniformly throughout the organization.

• Strong interpersonal and team-building abilities, with a knack for fostering relationships with cross-functional teams and colleagues.
