Global Logistics Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Assist in acquiring training facilities, ranges, or other venues, as well as catering, transportation (both air and ground), lodging, interpreters and/or translators, passports/visas, and more.

• Provide support to the Global Logistics Manager (GLM) by entering and monitoring vendors in the Makwa Global GAN Compliance Management System.

• Actively coordinate with Government Counterparts on support and logistics requirements and issues on behalf of the GLM.

• Collaborate closely with third-party vendors or in-country service providers, including vendors, venue management, training center management, and Post/Host Country Representatives, to ensure comprehensive support for all efforts.

• Maintain precise records of all correspondence from Government program representatives and third-party vendors to report on support and logistics requirements.

• Be accessible during standard duty hours and accommodate surge or emergency requirements to meet with U.S. Government personnel regarding problem areas in support of the GLM.

• Be prepared to travel with the GLM to oversee, troubleshoot, or evaluate the quality of in-country delivery support and logistics arrangements, along with any other duties assigned by Makwa Leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Office, proprietary databases).

• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of contacts, vendors, and departments (both internal and external customers).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills necessary for quoting, vendor management, and customer interaction.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Logistics role.

• Familiarity with export and import regulations and procedures.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage issues and escalations effectively.

• Detail-oriented approach with a strong commitment to accuracy.
