This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +4 more countries.
• Define and spearhead ICON's global strategy for workforce planning and resource management.
• Take ownership of demand forecasting, capacity planning, resource allocation, and workforce analytics across the enterprise.
• Oversee ICON's global Headcount Approval Process while establishing governance standards and decision-making frameworks.
• Provide guidance to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, Finance leadership, and business presidents regarding workforce investments, capacity, delivery risks, productivity, and resource optimization.
• Influence decisions related to workforce and organization by assessing resource needs, challenging assumptions, and prioritizing effectively.
• Revolutionize workforce planning and governance through process enhancement, technology integration, automation, and advanced analytics.
• Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, and operational leadership on metrics such as utilization, productivity, margin performance, revenue realization, resource costs, and organizational efficiency.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing global organization consisting of senior leaders and subject matter experts.
• Cultivate leadership skills, succession planning, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Represent workforce strategy and resource management at the highest organizational levels.
• Extensive executive leadership experience in workforce planning, capacity management, resource optimization, demand forecasting, and deployment strategy within large, complex global organizations.
• Experience in CRO, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, consulting, or professional services environments is advantageous; project-based, talent-intensive business experience will also be considered.
• Proven success in partnering with and influencing executive leadership teams, business presidents, and C-suite stakeholders.
• Significant experience in leading enterprise workforce governance, investment approval, resource allocation, or headcount management processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing global organizations through senior leaders in complex matrix environments.
• Exceptional commercial and financial acumen, including expertise in utilization, productivity, margin optimization, workforce investment, resource costs, revenue realization, and operational performance drivers.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
• Capability to synthesize complex business dynamics and utilize workforce analytics and forecasting methodologies.
• Excellent executive presence, communication, and influencing abilities.
• Experience in leading transformational change and building scalable workforce planning capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• An advanced degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Economics, Human Resources, or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Must reside in the US, Canada, UK, or Ireland; other locations will be considered.
