Global Director – Animal Sentience, Welfare Education

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the design, development, implementation, and assessment of educational programs that advocate for animal sentience and welfare.

• Foster strategic partnerships, manage staff and volunteers, and oversee curricula tailored for various audiences.

• Evaluate program effectiveness and promote positive outcomes for both animals and people.

• Create and execute a comprehensive educational strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and objectives.

• Develop and sustain age-appropriate programs for children, teenagers, adults, and professional groups.

• Build partnerships with universities, schools, community organizations, animal shelters, veterinarians, and government entities.

• Organize outreach events, community workshops, and public awareness initiatives.

• Manage program budgets, grants, contracts, and resource distribution related to educational and training efforts.

• Establish evaluation metrics, gather data, and generate reports that showcase program impact, effectiveness, and outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Animal Science, Biology, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• At least 5 years of experience in education, program development, or outreach, ideally within animal welfare, humane societies, shelters, or similar nonprofits.

• Proven experience in managing teams, budgets, and collaborative partnerships.

• Familiarity with designing curricula and evaluation frameworks for diverse audiences.

• Strong understanding of animal behavior, welfare issues, and best practices in community-based education.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication, public speaking, and presentation abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, learning management systems, virtual presentation platforms, and data collection/reporting tools.

• Experience in grant writing and fundraising is an advantage.
