This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Global Financial Reporting: Lead and oversee the timely, precise, and transparent preparation of consolidated global financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP/IFRS and other regulatory standards.

• Technical Accounting Authority: Act as the definitive authority on the interpretation, adoption, and consistent application of intricate technical accounting policies across all international divisions.

• Close Process: Spearhead the effective and thorough execution of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.

• SEC/External Reporting: Supervise the preparation and submission of all external financial reports, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.), as necessary.

• Internal Control Environment: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust global internal control framework to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity, emphasizing compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).

• Audit Management: Serve as the primary contact and liaison for external auditors, internal audit, and regulatory agencies, overseeing all global audit operations.

• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial and operational risks pertaining to accounting, treasury, and foreign exchange.

• Strategic Sourcing Leadership: Offer executive oversight and strategic guidance for the Global Procurement function.

• Cost Management: Lead company-wide initiatives to enhance supplier relationships, negotiate key contracts, and achieve substantial, measurable reductions in both direct and indirect procurement expenses.

• Facilities Strategy: Take ownership of the strategic planning, management, and optimization of the company's global real estate portfolio and facilities operations.

• Workplace Efficiency: Manage capital expenditure budgeting, space planning, and facilities services to ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment that fosters business growth.

• Lease Accounting: Collaborate closely with the accounting team to guarantee proper lease classification and accounting treatment following ASC 842 or IFRS 16.

• Strategic Partner: Work alongside the CFO, CEO, and other executive leaders to deliver financial insights that inform strategic business decisions and stimulate global growth.

• Talent Management: Lead, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing global team of professionals in Controllership, Accounting, Procurement, and Facilities.

• Process Transformation: Advocate for finance transformation initiatives, including the selection, implementation, and optimization of global ERP and accounting systems.


⛳️ Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. An MBA or Master's in Accounting is highly preferred.

• Certification: A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent is required.

• Experience: At least 15+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a minimum of 7 years in a senior leadership position (VP/SVP/CAO) overseeing global accounting operations for a multinational organization.

• Multi-Disciplinary Experience: Proven experience in leading or having substantial oversight of Procurement/Sourcing and/or Global Facilities/Real Estate.

• Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP/IFRS, SEC reporting, and the design/management of SOX-compliant control environments.

• Leadership: Outstanding executive presence, communication abilities, and a demonstrated capacity to lead and develop large, geographically dispersed teams.
