This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Oversee all facets of the development, execution, management, and assessment of the CRS project, including communicating how it contributes to the leadership in health and development sectors.
• Ensure the project is crafted and executed to fulfill donor expectations regarding timely and high-quality outcomes and budget considerations, with strategies for phase-out and sustainability in place.
• Facilitate coordination between program and operations leaders, ensuring adherence to CRS program quality standards in line with MEAL policy and procedures.
• Manage Country Program Project leads, ensuring their effective contributions to global objectives, sharing insights across CPs, and enabling suitable global support.
• Foster relationships with consortium partner organizations, including organizing review and planning workshops.
• Efficiently manage senior programming and operations talent throughout the project, promoting team dynamics and staff well-being, while providing coaching and mentoring.
• Assess and mitigate risks by monitoring national and regional issues that may affect staff and programming.
• Promote, uphold, and exemplify a commitment to the responsible use of agency and donor resources.
• Supervise the development of communication strategies and materials, ensuring compliance with donor and CRS branding and marketing guidelines and procedures.
• Create and sustain an environment conducive to learning, establishing a safe space for the exchange of ideas, solutions, and challenges while being capable of quickly identifying, analyzing, and addressing deficiencies.
• Bachelor’s degree in health systems strengthening, international development, International Relations, or a related technical field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 8 years of relevant management and technical experience.
• 5 years of experience managing donor funds, including multi-country grants, with a strong background in budget management.
• 2 years of experience in staff management, fostering a learning environment, and coaching senior program staff.
• Recognized leader in the sector, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, etc.
• Experience in engaging partners and enhancing partnerships; familiarity with CRS partnership strategy is a plus.
• Proven track record in successful program management, including overseeing complex, high-value, multi-activity projects with intricate logistics.
• Capability to represent and present at senior levels.
• Proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), web conferencing applications, and information and budget management systems.
• Strong strategic, analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to grasp the big picture and make sound judgments and decisions.
• Excellent relationship management skills, able to connect with individuals at all levels internally and externally, and strategic in relationship-building.
• Team leadership skills with diverse or multi-disciplinary teams, along with coaching abilities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of developing tailored and persuasive messaging for various audiences.
• Proactive, resourceful, solution-oriented, and results-driven.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a plus but not mandatory.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 35% of the time to resource-limited locations.
