Global Chief Compliance Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee the entire Global Compliance function.

• Direct all licensing processes related to zerohash.

• Stay informed about global regulations, compliance requirements, and developments pertinent to zerohash’s operations, while also providing regional compliance assistance to other teams within the organization.

• Create, implement, and manage customer onboarding and ongoing compliance processes, including anti-money laundering (AML) and sanctions, in alignment with regulatory mandates.

• Build and sustain strong relationships with regional regulatory bodies.

• Handle regulatory filings across different regions.

• Supervise responses to regional regulatory examinations and manage interactions with regulators.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of compliance experience, including AML, sanctions, and financial crimes compliance, within a financial services organization or fintech startup.

• Proven experience in facilitating and scaling international growth within a fintech startup.

• Demonstrated capability to design and oversee intricate programs in a rapidly evolving and growth-oriented environment.

• Experience in collaborating with regional financial regulators, including managing examinations.

• A legal or law degree is preferred.

• Self-motivated, diligent, and driven, with a track record of achieving objectives in a delegated setting.

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to perform tasks under tight deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Effective interpersonal skills necessary for communicating with regulators and collaborating with colleagues across various regions and business units.

• Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite applications.

• Experience in the cryptocurrency sector is an added advantage.
