Director, Compliance & Enterprise Risk Management – ERM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Assists in the development and ongoing enhancement of the enterprise compliance program to ensure it meets regulatory, legal, and organizational standards.

• Aids in the execution and evolution of the enterprise risk management framework, which includes the identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of risks across various functions.

• Prepares and presents reports at the executive and board levels to support the Audit, Compliance & Risk Committee in overseeing compliance and enterprise risks.

• Leads the creation, maintenance, and operational integration of compliance policies and procedures to guarantee uniform adoption and accountability.

• Collaborates with business leaders to develop and implement compliance training and communication strategies that reinforce organizational expectations and foster a culture of integrity.

• Assists in the ethics reporting processes, which encompass intake, triage, and oversight of compliance-related issues to ensure timely and consistent resolutions.

• Establishes compliance monitoring and auditing processes to assess program effectiveness and pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Manages third-party compliance risk to ensure that vendors and partners comply with organizational standards and contractual obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree (JD, MBA, MPA, or similar) is preferred.

• 8–12+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or governance roles.

• Proven experience with enterprise risk management frameworks and the development of compliance programs.

• Experience in supporting board-level committees or governance structures.

• Exceptional analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
