This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create technical reports and designated sections utilizing critical thinking and independent analysis.
• Evaluate datasets and draft technical conclusions that are substantiated by data.
• Assemble and analyze numerical data, presenting findings through tables, charts, and graphs in reports.
• Follow EHS Support formatting standards and style guidelines for all deliverables.
• Operate within established project budgets and timelines as directed by the Project Manager (PM).
• Update PMs, technical reviewers, and project teams on project status, progress, and challenges.
• Develop a working knowledge of ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) standards.
• Assist in the preparation of Phase I ESA, Limited Compliance Reviews (LCRs), and desktop due diligence reports by drafting assigned sections.
• Help order environmental database (EDR) reports and submit FOIA requests under supervision.
• Conduct Phase I ESA site visits for small, uncomplicated properties (initial visits performed alongside a Technical Lead or PM).
• Cultivate a foundational understanding of federal (e.g., USEPA, OSHA) and relevant state EHS regulations.
• Aid in drafting technical compliance documents under the guidance of a PM or Technical Lead.
• Provide limited on-site compliance support to clients with direct oversight.
• Assist in the collection and documentation of compliance data and communicate with site personnel regarding compliance issues.
• Support waste management compliance initiatives both internally and externally.
• Travel to client locations up to approximately 50% of the year.
• Arrive at field sites equipped with necessary PPE, equipment (e.g., laptop/iPad), and documentation.
• Record site conditions using detailed notes, checklists, and photographs.
• Support field activities in accordance with project scope and directives from technical leadership.
• Adhere to all EHS Support and client-specific environmental, health, and safety protocols.
• Engage in and complete Site Safety Risk Assessments prior to field activities.
• Organize and monitor field events in company systems (e.g., Airtable) and fulfill required check-ins.
• Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactively inform project teams about task progress, risks, and issues.
• Collaborate primarily with internal project teams, while also having opportunities for client interaction during fieldwork and interviews.
• Understand client needs and support prompt responses.
• Assist in managing client relationships, including weekly progress updates with Client Managers.
• Contribute to the development of marketing or business development materials (e.g., service descriptions, client alerts) under supervision.
• Acquire familiarity with company service lines and consulting capabilities.
• Gain insights into company processes, systems, and service offerings.
• Cultivate an understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Participate in training and mentoring to enhance technical and consulting skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Strong technical writing skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
• Ability to analyze data and derive logical, well-supported conclusions.
• Effective time management skills and the capacity to work within defined budgets and deadlines.
• Basic problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn.
• Capability to follow directions and work under close supervision while developing independence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or equivalent tools.
