This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, execute, and sustain a robust compliance program that aligns with both regulatory and organizational standards.
• Stay updated on changes in healthcare laws, regulations, and industry benchmarks, assessing their impact on the organization.
• Create compliance policies, procedures, and controls aimed at mitigating risks and ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments and formulate action plans to address any identified deficiencies.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and relevant revenue cycle requirements.
• Investigate compliance concerns, regulatory inquiries, and reported infractions.
• Collaborate with Legal, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Information Security, and Operations to address identified issues.
• Maintain documentation that supports compliance activities, corrective actions, and regulatory preparedness.
• Oversee ongoing auditing and monitoring initiatives to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance efforts.
• Analyze trends and audit results to pinpoint areas of risk and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and manage corrective action plans and track progress until resolution.
• Present audit results and compliance metrics to executive leadership.
• Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the organization.
• Design and implement compliance education and awareness initiatives.
• Offer guidance and coaching to leaders and associates on compliance-related issues.
• Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on compliance matters.
• Lead and mentor compliance team members through coaching, mentoring, and performance development.
• Work alongside operational leaders to integrate compliance best practices into everyday workflows.
• Support organizational growth strategies while ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of progressive experience in healthcare compliance, regulatory affairs, auditing, risk management, or revenue cycle leadership.
• More than 5 years of leadership experience managing teams and compliance programs.
• In-depth understanding of healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, CMS, OIG guidance, and compliance frameworks.
• Proven experience in conducting investigations, audits, and risk assessments.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills at the executive level.
