Global Business Process Owner – Trade Compliance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of comprehensive trade compliance business processes in line with the Global Trade Controls Standards, which encompasses Restricted Party Screening, Export and Import License Management, Product Classification (HS & ECN), Embargo Screening, and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) qualification.

• Minimize process variations by establishing standardized policies, practices, Performance Metrics, RACI, and a Governance Model for essential trade capabilities facilitated through GTS, SAP S/4, and related Systems & Technologies.

• Spearhead the enhancement and upgrade of GTS to the newest supported version (E4H / Edition 4 for HANA), mitigating risks associated with the TranSCend roadmap and transitioning MedTech's various GTS versions and clients to a unified, scalable global instance.

• Ensure the adoption of capabilities by synchronizing people, processes, data, and technology requirements with the Trade Operating Model and the MedTech TranSCend deployment roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, Law, Engineering, Information Systems, or other related fields; a master's degree or professional trade compliance certification is preferred.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in global trade compliance, customs, or international trade operations, with substantial experience in a regulated industry.

• Extensive knowledge of global trade compliance, including restricted/sanctioned party screening, export and import license management, embargo screening, product classification (HS & ECN), and Free Trade Agreement qualification and certification.

• A strong grasp of global trade controls standards, customs procedures, duty reduction programs, and the regulatory framework governing export/import in a multinational MedTech setting.

• Practical experience with SAP GTS, ideally including GTS E4H and its integration with SAP S/4HANA master and transactional data.
