Manager – Life Sciences, Business Process Outsourcing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily financial activities of clients, including general ledger management, payables, receivables, payroll, collections, and financial reporting.

• Ensure the team's adherence to internal procedures and controls.

• Continuously manage both onshore and offshore staff.

• Aid in the creation of financial statements that comply with official standards.

• Facilitate communication with various stakeholders.

• Process journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly/annual closing activities.

• Assist in developing budgets and forecasts.

• Review accounting data to address discrepancies.

• Transition customers to new accounting systems.

• Provide advice and support regarding technical accounting matters.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities.

• Demonstrated experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or in a comparable role.

• Background in various sectors, including professional services, manufacturing, construction, and healthcare.

• Strong understanding of accounting and financial processes.

• Proficient knowledge of GAAP.

• Familiarity with data analysis and forecasting techniques.

• Experience with accounting software (Quickbooks, Xero, Dynamics, NetSuite, Intacct).

• Advanced skills in Excel.

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in ERP implementation is a bonus.

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is advantageous.
