This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Take full P&L responsibility for the Global Traction Products business line, driving sustainable growth, profitability, and cash performance.
• Spearhead the strategic development and scaling of a competitive product portfolio encompassing motors, ESS, DC-DC converters, and auxiliary systems, enhancing value propositions and market positioning across targeted segments.
• Establish clear accountability across Product Lines for factories, product management, and engineering, ensuring alignment with business line priorities and enterprise goals.
• Define and implement global go-to-market strategies that increase market share, uphold pricing discipline, and enhance customer relationships across segments and regions.
• Set and drive performance targets that cultivate a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence throughout the organization.
• Advocate for impactful marketing, sales, and customer engagement strategies that boost market presence and accelerate growth.
• Strengthen partnerships with key customers and OEMs, positioning ABB as the preferred partner for traction and onboard energy solutions.
• Lead the effective integration of acquired entities into ABB, achieving targeted value creation, synergies, and organizational alignment.
• Ensure top-tier operational performance in manufacturing, supply chain, quality, delivery, and HSE, in line with ABB’s standards and business aspirations.
• Build and nurture high-performing, values-driven teams through coaching, talent development, and comprehensive succession planning.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in leading global business lines or holding substantial P&L responsibility within industrial, rail, mobility, or similar sectors.
• Strong strategic and commercial insight, with proven ability to scale complex product portfolios and convert strategy into measurable business outcomes.
• Experience in managing multi-product, technology-driven businesses with a manufacturing presence and end-to-end operational responsibility.
• Proven capability to lead a Product Line-driven operating model with distributed ownership, embedded capabilities, and strong enterprise alignment.
• Solid understanding of customer ecosystems across various industries, with the ability to anticipate market trends and influence competitive positioning.
• Established leadership of large, cross-regional organizations, with the capacity to align diverse teams around a common vision and performance objectives.
• History of delivering results in dynamic environments with complex operational frameworks, balancing speed, rigor, and execution excellence.
• Experience in M&A and integration, preferably with direct involvement in integration initiatives and achieving targeted value creation.
• High personal integrity and a strong commitment to ABB’s values, ethics, and compliance standards, serving as a role model for principled leadership.
• Proficient in leading change and transformation while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and organizational resilience.
• Skilled in stakeholder management, with strong communication and influencing abilities at executive, board, and cross-functional leadership levels.
