This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Oversee on-site operations; handle escalations, ensure safety, and implement contingency plans to provide an exceptional attendee experience.
• Take full ownership of program management for designated global events from initial concept through execution and final closeout.
• Lead core event teams regularly; facilitate decision-making, eliminate obstacles, and coordinate various workstreams (including content, branding, exhibitor/sponsor relations, logistics/operations, project coordination, and satellite events).
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product Management to develop event strategy, objectives, and success metrics; ensure that messaging and deliverables align with business priorities.
• Construct and manage event budgets (exceeding $3M), project spending, monitor financial performance, and seek opportunities for cost optimization.
• Establish and maintain event governance and standards, including templates, playbooks, and SOPs, to guarantee consistent and scalable planning and execution for global events.
• Source, negotiate, and oversee contracts for venues, sponsors/exhibitors, and third-party vendors in partnership with Legal, Strategic Sourcing, and Finance.
• Develop and implement comprehensive event logistics and operations plans (including timelines, run-of-show, registration, travel, on-site production, risk management, and contingency strategies).
• Act as the primary liaison among key stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Global Marketing, Community Relations, Events, and regional teams) to align expectations and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage RFP and procurement processes to guarantee competitive and compliant vendor selection along with clear scopes of work.
• Design and assess post-event feedback (via surveys, debriefs, and performance reporting) and translate findings into actionable enhancements across the event portfolio.
• Keep abreast of event and experiential marketing trends and benchmark competitor events to propose innovations that boost attendee engagement and business outcomes.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Over 5 years of directly related experience in event management for both internal and external corporate events.
• B2B experience is preferred.
• Proven experience in planning and executing both large and small high-profile events.
• At least 5 years of experience in writing promotional copy, managing events, planning and executing campaigns, and providing content for social media, blogs, emails, and websites.
• Strong project management abilities and meticulous attention to detail with a collaborative working style.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
