This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Identify, cultivate, and secure anchor partnerships with multinational employers that can be scaled across various African nations.
• Build and oversee enterprise-level relationships, crafting partnership models that align with Generation’s programs and the talent needs of employers.
• Establish strategic partnerships that generate revenue and advance our mission.
• Serve as the primary lead for employer partnerships in new or early-stage countries where a local team is not yet established.
• Personally source, engage, and close employers to secure job opportunities for Generation graduates.
• Achieve defined KPIs and targets such as new partnerships, opportunities, vacancies, recruitment conversion rates, and placements.
• Ensure robust post-placement engagement with employers, including interview processes, feedback mechanisms, and performance tracking.
• Enhance and deepen relationships with existing partners to drive repeat hiring and increased engagement across regions.
• Collaborate with global teams to synchronize remote talent strategies and employer requirements.
• Recruit, manage, and develop regional Business Development / Employer Partnerships Associates as the Africa portfolio expands.
• Contribute to the Africa growth strategy, particularly regarding employer demand, sector focus, and revenue models.
• Represent Generation externally with employers, industry groups, and ecosystem stakeholders throughout Africa.
• 6–12 years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, partnerships, or employer engagement roles.
• Proven track record of closing partnerships and achieving targets, preferably with large or multinational organizations.
• Experience operating across multiple markets, ideally within the African context.
• Demonstrated ability to build and expand partnerships in new or early-stage markets.
• Experience in managing or mentoring team members or associates.
• Background in workforce development, skills training, recruitment, or related sectors is advantageous, though not mandatory.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to structure revenue-generating partnerships.
• Established experience in developing partnerships across Africa.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement abilities with a knack for influencing senior decision-makers.
• Capability to balance strategic partnership development with practical execution.
• Strong pipeline management and organizational skills.
• Understanding of talent management, recruitment, workforce development, or HR.
• Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed, multi-country environment.
