This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Generate precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all designated communities, consistently meeting both internal and client-facing deadlines.
• Accrue expenses on a monthly basis and ensure that all entries are accurately documented and categorized.
• Evaluate and approve the work of peers to uphold quality standards within the accounting team.
• Create financial packages and reports for community board presentations and management reviews.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for all assigned community accounts.
• Reconcile additional balance sheet accounts as necessary, ensuring that all discrepancies are identified and resolved in a timely manner.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready reconciliation workpapers for every community within the portfolio.
• Review, prepare, enter, track, and report on community budgets throughout the fiscal year.
• Monitor actual performance against the budget and alert management and community boards to any variances.
• Assist in the annual budget preparation process for all assigned communities in collaboration with management.
• Accurately and completely set up new communities and accounts within the accounting system.
• Process community terminations, including final account reconciliations and appropriate close-out procedures.
• Keep organized and current records for all active and terminated communities.
• Respond promptly and professionally to a high volume of phone calls and emails from internal team members, community managers, and board members.
• Clearly communicate financial information to non-accounting stakeholders, including HOA boards and community managers.
• Approach challenging conversations and strong personalities with a calm, professional, and solutions-oriented demeanor.
• Maintain a friendly and professional attitude in all interactions, regardless of the complexity or volume of inquiries.
• Possess a strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and their application within a community association context.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including experience with Excel for financial reporting, reconciliations, and budget tracking.
• Exhibit the ability to manage a high volume of work across multiple client accounts simultaneously without compromising accuracy or timeliness.
• This position is full-time.
