
GIS Field Service Engineering Site Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.
• Plan, execute, and oversee the on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of High Voltage GIS equipment (69kV–550kV)
• Act as Hitachi Energy’s on-site representative to clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and local stakeholders
• Supervise field teams and subcontractors to enhance quality, productivity, scheduling, and safe work execution
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements
• Conduct and document field testing, including SF6 leak detection, gas analysis, timing, power factor, and contact resistance testing
• Perform inspections to assess maintenance needs and necessary repairs, aiding resource planning decisions
• Organize and participate in on-site progress meetings and coordinate daily field operations
• Create precise and thorough field documentation, reports, and project records
• Ensure adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
• At least 10 years of experience in field service or construction management
• Technical certificate or associate degree in an electrical or mechanical discipline
• Proven experience supervising erection and testing activities for high voltage substations and equipment
• Familiarity with safety protocols for working in energized, high voltage substations
• Valid vehicle operator’s permit and OSHA 10 training certification (or the ability to obtain one)
