This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Create and deploy reusable pipelines for the ingestion, standardization, validation, and dissemination of geospatial datasets.
• Develop and sustain authoritative reference layers such as PLSS/CadNSDI, land status, Surface Management Agency data, split estate, corridors, critical habitats, and other pertinent spatial datasets.
• Transform and publish geospatial datasets utilizing GeoParquet and maintain PostGIS serving layers for application and spatial-query tasks.
• Establish automated workflows for georeferencing scanned maps, plats, location maps, and survey drawings.
• Convert information obtained from maps and documents into validated vector geometry.
• Collaborate with Content Pipeline Engineers to integrate OCR and document extraction outcomes with geospatial processing.
• Analyze and convert legal descriptions, bearings, distances, coordinates, parcel details, and survey data into geospatial features.
• Develop reusable processing patterns for well, lease, unit, communitization agreements, right-of-way, project-area, and other permitting-related geometries.
• Execute spatial joins, intersections, overlays, proximity calculations, and other spatial transformations.
• Oversee coordinate reference systems, transformations, spatial precision, and indexing.
