This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assists in the creation of spatial data management solutions and analytics to improve project and operational outcomes.
• Oversees project phases, collaborates with project teams, and incorporates both new and existing datasets for analysis.
• Engages in advanced geospatial data manipulation, management, and analysis to support a diverse array of projects.
• Merges CAD and GIS workflows by utilizing ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Autodesk, and Bentley MicroStation to fulfill project needs.
• Sets up and manages ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, and ArcGIS Online (Web GIS) environments to cater to enterprise geospatial requirements.
• Designs and implements GIS applications, including Experience Builder, Story Maps, custom applications, and mobile solutions like Survey123 and Field Maps.
• Employs ArcGIS Desktop and related tools to create, edit, and analyze spatial data.
• Executes cartographic design and visualization to effectively convey complex spatial information.
• Utilizes GIS tools for network modeling and analysis, placing significant emphasis on Utility Network (water and electric) data models to aid asset management, operations, and decision-making.
• Develops, configures, and supports Esri Utility Network implementations, including the creation and maintenance of water and electric data models, rules, and network topology.
• Facilitates the migration of legacy GIS and CAD data into Utility Network schemas, involving data mapping, validation, and QA/QC workflows.
• Processes and analyzes UAV/drone imagery and point cloud data to enhance project outcomes.
• Envisions and executes projects from inception to completion, working alongside internal teams and external clients.
• Provides GIS training and technical support to staff; instructs users on the effective use of CAD and GIS programs.
• Identifies opportunities to enhance workflows and efficiency through increased GIS adoption.
• Designs and implements tools to automate workflows and enhance processes (e.g., Python, ModelBuilder).
• Maintains regular communication with clients to comprehend their needs, provide updates, and deliver solutions.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a GIS-related field (Survey Technology, Geography, Geology, Geophysics, Computer Science) or a related area of study is preferred.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant job experience.
• GIS Certificate is preferred.
• Experience with Esri Utility Network, specifically in water and/or electric utility data model design, configuration, or implementation is highly preferred.
• Proficient in CAD and GIS integration, as well as tools such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Autodesk, Bentley MicroStation, SQL/and Server infrastructure, and other related software programs.
• Experience with UAV/Drone and point cloud data is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines efficiently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
