German VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the healthcare and medical sectors.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering content.

• Deliver exemplary customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations.

• Uphold established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "German."

• 1+ years of telephone interpretation experience at a reputable interpretation company is a plus, though not required.

• A solid understanding of medical terminology is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is beneficial.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
