This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer programmatic assistance to the DHS GMO and provide expert guidance on the management and coordination of extensive enterprise geospatial data and application capabilities.
• These capabilities encompass data activities, including information sharing requirements and situational awareness applications across the homeland security enterprise.
• Aid in the development and execution of plans and policies for managing, documenting, analyzing, collecting, and implementing GII requirements across GMO projects and various technical teams, and provide recommendations to help prioritize and/or fulfill requirements based on available resources.
• The Project Manager must be accessible to the COR via telephone from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Washington, DC local time, Monday through Friday, and shall respond to requests for discussion or resolution of technical issues within 24 hours of notification.
• Implement geospatial information technology solutions as part of a large team (5-10 members) and/or serve as a lead for smaller teams (3-4 members).
• Skilled in overseeing small team efforts using industry standards and methodologies (e.g., Agile Scrum process, Waterfall, etc.).
• Provide tactical recommendations to the government to enhance processes, deliverables, and outcomes.
• Execute geospatial information technology solutions related to homeland security, law enforcement, and emergency management systems.
• Exhibit proficiency with the technical elements of GIS and IT systems integration.
• Capable of managing large or multiple teams effectively.
• Demonstrate experience in project management using industry standards and methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMP, etc.) to efficiently oversee work and resources.
• Offer strategic recommendations to the government aimed at instigating changes that would improve organizational outcomes, missions, and deliverables.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Over 12 years of specialized GIS/Project Manager experience.
• Active PMP certification.
