Geospatial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the mapping and data related to our Biodiversity Net Gain, biodiversity credit, and other Natural Capital initiatives, from initial surveys to vision maps, prepared for planning and execution.

• Engage with new domains of Natural Capital as we broaden our scope (consider soil carbon and more), identifying and creating the datasets and maps necessary for these emerging project categories.

• Acquire, prepare, and ensure the quality of spatial data for our acquisitions, ranging from detailed estate-level information to national and regional searches, while assisting in the automation of this workflow through our internal tools.

• Aid in the upkeep of our ArcGIS web and mobile applications, StoryMaps, and dashboards, assist in streamlining the manual and repetitive aspects of our GIS processes, and transform disorganized external data into refined, styled, and ready-to-use datasets.

• Practical experience in analyzing, visualizing, and managing spatial datasets, preferably within the ArcGIS Platform.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards for data quality in all tasks.

• Capable of translating complex data into clear insights and visual representations, whether it’s an aesthetically pleasing map, an insightful dashboard, or a well-organized dataset.

• A genuine interest in leveraging AI tools (such as Claude Code) to write Python, automate workflows, and enhance your own productivity.

• When faced with obstacles, you explore alternative approaches rather than getting stuck. You think creatively and outside conventional boundaries.
