Geoprocessing Analyst, Mid-level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Execute geoprocessing tasks utilizing satellite imagery and relevant software for the gathering, processing, analysis, and visualization of geospatial data.

• Maintain data integrity and evaluate geospatial products in accordance with established standards.

• Gather, process, and verify spatial data from various sources, including satellites and both public and private databases.

• Create cartographic products and thematic maps.

• Offer technical assistance to other departments in the application of GIS tools.

• Develop manuals, presentations, and technical documentation detailing the progress and outcomes of analyses and monitoring efforts.

• Educate and enhance the skills of the team in tools, systems, and methodologies through technical training.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the monitoring methodology and alert production processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cartographic Engineering, Forest Engineering, Surveying Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geoprocessing Technology, Geography, Biology, or related disciplines.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Advanced expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

• Experience in interpreting satellite imagery for land use and land cover classification.

• Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly.

• Dedication to meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
