• Effectively communicate with professional clients, ensuring the seamless coordination of complex cases and the communication of abnormal or intricate results.
• Conduct a thorough review of test orders and laboratory reports to ensure accuracy and precision.
• Facilitate the management of complex cases among various internal teams and external clients.
• Serve as a liaison between professional clients and laboratory teams.
• Provide education and support to professional trainees, including genetic counseling students.
• Participate in the development of new tests, as well as policies and procedures.
• Collaborate on professional manuscripts and presentations concerning genetics.
• Education: A Master of Science or Master of Arts in Genetic Counseling from an ACGC-accredited program or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in clinical or laboratory genetics is preferred.
• Certification: Must be Board certified or Board eligible in Genetic Counseling by ABMG or ABGC.
