Generative Engine Optimization Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and implement a consistent GEO measurement framework across key queries and personas, monitoring Inclusion Rate, Narrative Fidelity, and Generative Share of Voice.

• Oversee the management of prompt and query libraries along with a testing schedule across LLM surfaces.

• Assess how Teleport appears and is described in AI outputs, pinpointing coverage and framing gaps, and convert findings into prioritized, actionable tasks.

• Supervise the technical architecture of our martech stack for GEO opportunities and obstacles, removing any speed bumps that hinder GEO effectiveness.

• Collaborate with Corporate Marketing on site organization, clarity, and referenceable content to enhance retrievability.

• Partner with Product Marketing to solidify precise, enduring concepts throughout product language and documentation, while enhancing citation-quality assets in owned channels.

• Work alongside Demand Generation to synchronize distribution with high-value narratives and extend GEO-optimized content into channels that affect retrieval.

• Identify and prioritize authoritative sources that influence LLM outputs, and broaden Teleport’s visibility across third-party publications, structured knowledge formats, and lasting referenceable assets.

• Facilitate the placement of Teleport’s ideas and data in sources that LLMs retrieve and cite, emphasizing citation quality over quantity, in collaboration with Product Marketing, Demand Generation, and PR.

• Connect inputs, outputs, and outcomes related to GEO metrics, feeding performance data back into message refinement, content prioritization, and distribution strategy.

• Set up a regular reporting schedule with measurable progress towards goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in GEO and AI discovery. Proven experience enhancing visibility in AI-driven or search-mediated discovery, with a solid understanding of how LLMs retrieve, synthesize, and present information. You have developed query-based testing or measurement frameworks in a production environment.

• Foundation in modern SEO and search principles. Strong technical SEO knowledge encompassing structure, linking, indexing, and entity clarity, with a history of achieving measurable results through content and structural modifications. You have successfully adapted SEO practices for AI-era retrieval and synthesis.

• Orientation towards measurement and systems. You define key metrics, conduct experiments, and operationalize insights. You create repeatable workflows that link data to action rather than generating one-off reports.

• Cross-functional execution skills. You navigate seamlessly across web, product marketing, and demand generation, aligning stakeholders and driving execution. Experience managing external agencies and contractors is essential, and this role may evolve to include management of internal team members over time.

• Sound judgment in content and narrative. You transform complex technical concepts into clear, lasting language and maintain message integrity as content transitions across owned and earned channels.

• Strategy for third-party authority. Experience in leveraging earned media, technical publications, and structured references to enhance discoverability, with the discernment to identify which sources genuinely impact retrieval and citation.

• Proficient written communication skills. You create clear measurement plans, technical documentation, and project updates in written form. At Teleport, documentation is crucial and non-negotiable.

• Familiarity with AI-native workflows. You actively utilize AI tools to enhance your work efficiency.
