Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), SEO Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement on-page content strategies to enhance AI visibility and foster positive AI sentiment for graduate and professional degree programs.

• Perform comprehensive technical and content audits to pinpoint performance gaps in search and generative engines.

• Compose, test, and apply intricate JSON-LD Schema Markup to enable AI engines to interpret and contextualize university program information.

• Research, draft, and create authoritative long-form blog articles in alignment with GEO best practices.

• Position client university programs as leaders in comparison to competing institutions.

• Establish, monitor, and evaluate performance metrics in GA4 and Google Search Console.

• Track advancements in search visibility and user engagement.

• Collaborate with the agency team while maintaining overlap with US Central Time for effective communication and team synchronization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of demonstrated experience in SEO, technical SEO, and content optimization.

• Strong grasp of emerging Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) principles.

• Extensive expertise in writing and implementing Schema Markup.

• Experience conducting technical site audits.

• Proficient in navigating CMS platforms like WordPress and Drupal.

• Advanced practical experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console (GSC).

• Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush, and Screaming Frog.

• Native-level proficiency in English.

• A portfolio showcasing high-quality, long-form written content.

• Capacity to write with academic and professional authority.

• Understanding of how LLMs retrieve, cite, and synthesize information for AI-generated responses.

• Ability to maintain reasonable overlap with US Central Time (CST/CDT).

• Resume should be formatted in English.

• A brief cover letter outlining experience with technical SEO and AI search trends.

• At least two samples of long-form writing.

• Capability to independently write, test, and deploy custom JSON-LD schema markup beyond standard plugin auto-generations.
