This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and enhance generative AI solutions utilizing GPT-4/5, Claude, Gemini, and Azure OpenAI.
• Develop agentic LLM architectures featuring structured outputs, chain-of-thought/chain-of-debate techniques, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Create and sustain prompt libraries, evaluation frameworks, and QA pipelines for defense-grade AI content.
• Integrate generative AI into existing platforms via documented APIs, ensuring compatibility with DoD systems.
• Investigate emerging generative AI methodologies, such as multimodal models, synthetic data generation, and AI-assisted information operations analysis.
• Convert COCOM operational needs into deployable AI solutions.
• Assist in TTX events and platform demonstrations.
• Apply Responsible AI practices, including bias detection, validation, hallucination mitigation, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Contribute to MVP-aligned milestone delivery, TRL advancement, and ROI assessment.
• Document innovative prompting techniques, model configurations, and workflows that may represent intellectual property or trade secrets.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline plus 5 years of pertinent experience, or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of the degree.
• Over 3 years in software development or data science, with at least 2 years dedicated to generative AI, LLMs, or NLP.
• Practical experience with GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, Llama, and Mistral, including prompt engineering, few-shot learning, fine-tuning, and API integration.
• Proficient in Python.
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, and OpenAI/Anthropic APIs.
• Experience in building RAG systems utilizing Pinecone, Weaviate, ChromaDB, or pgvector.
• Knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience in deploying AI/ML models in production environments.
• Understanding of AI safety, hallucination mitigation, bias reduction, and prompt-injection defense mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Required U.S. citizenship.
• Capability to obtain Secret and final TS/SCI clearances.
• Must possess a current, valid U.S. passport for potential OCONUS travel.
• Base salary ranging from $135,000 to $216,000 annually.
• Potential eligibility for overtime pay.
• Potential eligibility for shift differentials.
• Possible eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
