This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead and direct the onsite construction activities as a cohesive and cooperative team.
• Coordinate and supervise the daily operations of assigned projects.
• Manage all field responsibilities on medium to complex projects and/or oversee several smaller project teams concurrently.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to develop and uphold the project schedule.
• Conduct jobsite introductions and training for new hires, and delegate tasks.
• Perform annual reviews for direct report employees or more frequently as necessary.
• Collaborate with the estimating team to plan and provide technical support during the bidding process as needed.
• Ensure adherence to Mullins’ high-quality control standards and submit a detailed Non-Conformance Report on the same day a quality issue is identified.
• Assist the Project Manager in purchasing take-offs and project consumables.
• Purchase project consumables with prior approval from the Project Manager and/or Assistant Project Manager.
• Review initial project documents.
• Attend the hand-off meeting to discuss project scope, schedule, subcontractors, materials, and project commencement.
• Review contract documents, including plans, specifications, contracts, and any other relevant project information.
• Ensure compliance with Mullins’ safety policies and procedures is maintained daily, which includes:
• Enforcing the site-specific safety plan.
• Conducting weekly safety toolbox talks and submitting sign-in sheets.
• Completing and reviewing Mullins Safety Analyses (MSAs) as required.
• Submitting detailed Incident Reporting Forms on the day an incident occurs.
• Prepare a two-week look ahead schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager.
• Ensure timely notification and documentation concerning any delays.
• Communicate the impact of delays to the Project Manager and relevant parties.
• Notify the Project Manager, subcontractors, and owner of any opportunities to expedite the schedule, and seek approval to proceed.
• Manage project deliveries and logistics.
• Coordinate with the Owner/General Contractor and/or other subcontractors to guarantee sufficient laydown and staging areas for materials and prefabrication on the jobsite.
• Submit material requisitions two weeks ahead of time.
• Maintain an adequate supply of materials on the jobsite.
• Oversee the material management plan.
• Identify all required tools and equipment for the project.
• Maintain tools and equipment provided by Mullins on the jobsite, including both owned and rented items.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to coordinate rental equipment needs.
• Confirm the proper installation of all equipment on the project.
• Utilize current technology (mobile apps, email, etc.) to monitor and share information regarding construction projects.
• Timely update, review, and/or submit the following reports/logs:
• Daily Field Logs.
• If applicable, Daily T&M Sheet.
• Tool Maintenance Log.
• Time Sheets with Per Diem, Ride Time, and Vacation needs included.
• Receiving and Manifest Reports.
• Employee Reprimand, Termination, and Time Off/Vacation Forms.
• Daily Pipe and Structural Weld Reports.
• Vehicle Inspection Report.
• Welding Machine Report.
• Hydro and Pneumatic Test Reports.
• As-Built Drawings.
• Assist the Project Manager in creating the following:
• Job Cost Updates.
• Monthly Billing.
• Organize and facilitate weekly project meetings with Mullins’ Foremen and subcontractors.
• Monitor the progress of Foremen and subcontractors to ensure accountability for their productivity and performance.
• Attend the close-out meeting to document lessons learned.
• Ensure the jobsite remains clean and orderly.
• Proven experience and a successful track record as a construction Senior Superintendent for a trade performed by Mullins or in a comparable role.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, and health regulations for construction job sites.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction operations and processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
• Capability to lead and motivate a team.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Prior experience overseeing multiple Superintendents is required.
