General Manager – B2C SaaS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Drive sustainable revenue expansion across B2C SaaS and self-service B2B offerings.

• Spearhead growth initiatives focused on: Product-Led Growth (PLG), Marketing-Led Growth, Customer Acquisition, Retention & Monetization.

• Optimize and scale various growth channels, including: Affiliate Marketing, Communities, Organic Acquisition, and Product Conversion Funnels.

• Collaborate closely with Product and System Operations teams to enhance user experience and boost growth metrics.

• Analyze performance data related to products and business to uncover new growth opportunities and enhance decision-making.

• Oversee operations, workflows, automation, and scaling initiatives within the company.

• Engage effectively with technical leadership and engineering teams.

• Promote operational excellence across all departments.

• Assist in developing scalable systems and internal processes to facilitate company growth.

• Contribute to strategic planning and execution in partnership with the CEO.

• Aid in hiring and team expansion efforts as growth milestones are reached.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in B2C SaaS (preferred) or B2B SaaS with a strong focus on Product-Led Growth (PLG).

• Familiarity with self-serve subscription-based products.

• Comprehensive understanding of PLG environments where users sign up, test through free trials, and make purchases independently.

• Experience in scaling startups or independent business units.

• Successfully scaled teams from approximately 10–20 to 30–40+ employees.

• Supported annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth.

• Comfortable working closely with engineering and technical teams.

• Excellent communication skills with technical stakeholders and customers.

• Hands-on approach with an ownership-driven mindset.

• Adaptable to lean, fast-paced startup environments.

• Proficient in English communication skills (C1+).

• Strong leadership and operational skills.

• Ability to collaborate across functions effectively.
