General Liability Trial Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Manage all stages of General Liability litigation, from initial assessment to resolution.

• Collaborate with claims professionals to formulate case strategies.

• Perform discovery activities.

• Negotiate settlement agreements.

• Attend hearings.

• Advocate for clients throughout the litigation journey.

• Senior attorneys may provide mentorship to colleagues and act as technical experts on complex issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree and a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience.

• Must be a member in good standing with the California State Bar.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe software.

• Familiarity with legal research platforms such as Lexis, Westlaw, or comparable tools.

• Understanding of the insurance sector, claims environment, insurance defense litigation, and legal procedures.

• GL trial experience is preferred.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills are preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities are preferred.

• Ability to independently manage a caseload is preferred.

• Experience in a collaborative team setting is preferred.

• Background in trial, hearings, mediation, and settlements is preferred.

• For Senior Trial Attorney applicants: experience in managing moderate to high-complexity cases, mentoring other attorneys, and serving as a subject matter expert.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship for employment is not provided.
