General Liability Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manages intricate and technically demanding claims related to automobile, homeowner, and excess liability insurance policies.

• Adjusts claims that involve complex coverage issues, including liability, damages, evidence, or other complicated legal matters.

• Conducts investigations and assesses coverage, liability, and damages when handling claims associated with serious and catastrophic injuries.

• Guarantees prompt referral of lawsuits to legal counsel and analyzes changes in exposure throughout the discovery process.

• Responsible for overseeing defense counsel during the litigation of serious and intricate claims.

• Develops effective strategies to resolve claims while concentrating on indemnity and expense leakage.

• Assesses coverage and drafts coverage letters that encompass both reservation of rights and coverage denials.

• Maintains appropriate reserves for all active claims.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Must possess state-mandated adjusting licenses as required.

• Preferred insurance designations include CPCU, AIC, and ARM.

• A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience is required.

• Experience in personal lines claims, including evaluating coverage and drafting coverage letters.

• Preferred experience with commercial lines claims and litigation.

• Familiarity with and knowledge of the affluent market segment.

• Strong understanding of tort theories, legal concepts, negotiation strategies, and litigation management.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient with PCs, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Possesses analytical and interpretive abilities.

• Strong organizational capabilities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Outstanding negotiation skills.

• Ability to create and produce comprehensive, accurate, and constructive written reports.

• Capacity to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
