General Ledger Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Accurately process invoices in a timely manner while engaging with suppliers to address any queries or discrepancies related to invoices.

• Prepare and record both recurring and one-time journal entries for various legal entities in compliance with accounting policies.

• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts across multiple accounts and currencies, promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies.

• Reconcile PayPal transactions and investigate outstanding balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Manage and account for logistics, handling, and warehousing invoices from various suppliers.

• Review, process, and accurately record Amazon fee invoices in a timely fashion.

• Maintain, reconcile, and oversee BOL accounts, ensuring precise accounting and timely resolution of discrepancies.

• Perform reconciliations for Shopify accounts, ensuring that transactions are recorded accurately and supported appropriately.

• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting deadlines.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and Finance, to resolve accounting issues and enhance processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a General Ledger, Financial Accountant, or similar accounting position, preferably within a multi-entity or international organization.

• Strong grasp of month-end closing procedures, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.

• Experience in processing high-volume transactions, including accounts payable invoices, bank reconciliations, and payment platform reconciliations (experience with PayPal, Shopify, or Amazon is a plus).

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, capable of prioritizing tasks and consistently meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• A collaborative and proactive problem-solver who enjoys enhancing processes and working cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT.
