General Ledger Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Execute daily general ledger accounting functions, ensuring precision and completeness.

• Prepare and record journal entries, encompassing accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.

• Conduct balance sheet and account reconciliations while investigating any discrepancies.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Review financial data to identify errors, inconsistencies, or unusual transactions.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams and U.S.-based stakeholders to address accounting issues.

• Maintain precise and organized accounting records along with supporting documentation.

• Ensure compliance of accounting activities with internal policies and relevant accounting standards.

• Aid in financial reporting and other accounting-related responsibilities.

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to more efficient accounting practices.

• Manage ad-hoc accounting requests and additional GL-related activities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–10 years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting or general accounting.

• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and GL processes.

• Practical experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of investigating and resolving discrepancies.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of assigned tasks, and manage multiple priorities.

• Keen attention to detail and dedication to accuracy.

• Availability to work during U.S. Eastern Time (ET) hours.

• Previous experience with U.S. companies or clients is highly preferred.
