General Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and execute legal strategies that align with CopilotIQ’s business objectives while ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations, data privacy laws, and industry standards.

• Draft, review, and negotiate partnerships, vendor contracts, NDAs, and other commercial agreements.

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks, providing straightforward and actionable recommendations.

• Collaborate with external regulatory counsel on healthcare regulatory issues, HIPAA compliance, data privacy, and security matters.

• Offer guidance on corporate governance, board communications, and best practices.

• Manage intellectual property matters, including the administration of trademarks.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams and leadership as a strategic legal advisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership.

• Over 8 years of legal experience in the healthcare, technology, or related sectors.

• Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation, corporate law, and risk management.

• Knowledge of HIPAA, data privacy regulations, and laws pertinent to healthcare.

• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to work independently and lead the legal department as a strategic advisor.
