This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

šŸ“‹ Description

• Conduct investigations into claims related to personal, casualty, or property loss or damages against insurance or other companies.

• Strive to reach an out-of-court settlement with the claimant.

• Manage complex losses independently up to the designated authority level; provide assistance on larger claims.

• Review claim forms and other documentation to ascertain insurance coverage.

• Communicate through interviews, phone calls, or correspondence with claimants and witnesses about the claim.

• Consult police and hospital records and assess property damage to evaluate the company's liability.

• Estimate the costs for repairs, replacements, or compensation.

• Compile a report detailing findings and negotiate settlements with claimants.

• Recommend legal action by the legal department when a settlement cannot be reached.

• Participate in litigation hearings.

• Update case reserves in assigned claims files to reflect anticipated costs.

• Aid in the preparation of loss experience reports to assess profitability and determine appropriate future rates.


ā›³ļø Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Must possess the IIA-AIC designation and be actively pursuing an additional professional insurance designation.

• A valid state adjuster license is required.

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience or a comparable combination of education and experience is necessary.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively.

• Proficient in PC use, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Proven commitment to timely reporting.

• Strong customer service abilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective time management and organizational capabilities.

• Capacity to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.

• Ability to meet or exceed established Performance Competencies.
