General Accounting Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Ensure the accuracy of financial records and generate reports in line with government tax regulations and company accounting standards.

• Efficiently process a high volume of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions with precision.

• Reconcile accounts and bank statements, pinpointing and addressing discrepancies while escalating issues when necessary.

• Take ownership of account reconciliations throughout the month-end closing cycle.

• Guarantee compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting controls.

• Follow company policies and procedures diligently.

• Achieve or surpass performance targets associated with relevant KPIs.

• Enhance your understanding of products, services, and processes by engaging in training sessions and ongoing learning opportunities.

• Work collaboratively with other departments as required.

• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor towards customers and colleagues consistently.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent vocational qualification.

• At least three (3) years of experience in general accounting, encompassing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping, ideally within an outsourced services setting.

• A solid grasp of fundamental bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable concepts.

• A thorough understanding of business and income tax calculations and worksheets.

• Demonstrated capability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial documentation.

• Proficient in MS Office or Google Workspace.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and judgment skills, combined with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work autonomously, and perform effectively under pressure.

• Preferred qualifications: CPA or CMA certification.

• Familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP standards.

• Experience with Sage Intacct (QuickBooks) or comparable accounting software.
