This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and oversee scalable infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring optimal performance and high availability.

• Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines to automate the processes of application deployment and testing.

• Execute Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions utilizing tools like Terraform to manage cloud resources effectively.

• Oversee containerized applications with Kubernetes and Docker, refining deployment strategies.

• Monitor system performance, resolve issues, and implement proactive measures to avert downtime.

• Establish and uphold comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks for cloud infrastructure.

• Collaborate with development teams to grasp application needs and offer technical guidance on cloud best practices.

• Implement and uphold cloud security protocols, compliance standards, and disaster recovery plans.

• Automate routine operational tasks through scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.

• Document infrastructure architecture, processes, and procedures to ensure the retention of organizational knowledge.

• Participate in on-call rotations to deliver prompt incident response and resolution.

• Continuously assess and enhance cloud costs and resource utilization.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in DevOps engineering or managing cloud infrastructure.

• Advanced knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.

• Strong background in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.

• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and methodologies.

• Proficient in container orchestration using Kubernetes.

• Solid grasp of Linux/Unix system administration and command-line operations.

• Proven experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go.

• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.

• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools.

• Understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
