This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.
• Design and sustain EAG/API-gateway automation elements that interact with Government-sanctioned CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and verify configuration-as-code, deployment artifacts compatible with pipelines, workflows for gateway promotion, API validation gates, and automation components for migration.
• Facilitate automated assessments for API specification quality, compliance with governance, Zero Trust controls, telemetry, configuration drift, and evidence of production readiness.
• Create automation and validation documentation that supports PWS automation objectives, which include a 75 percent reduction in manual onboarding, a 90 percent success rate in automated onboarding, and 100 percent compliance with Zero Trust/governance before production deployment.
• Diagnose gateway-side CI/CD integration challenges, such as deployment failures, configuration mistakes, credential/certificate dependencies, issues with environment promotion, and validation gate errors.
• Assist with Git-based version control, branching, pull/merge request processes, artifact repositories, and evidence of releases.
• Collaborate with Government CI/CD, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, identity, network, and release teams for platform-related dependencies.
• Generate documentation for pipelines, automation runbooks, validation logs, deployment evidence, rollback procedures, and knowledge-transfer resources.
• Over 4 years of experience in automation engineering, API gateway engineering, DevOps-related application/platform engineering, integration engineering, or software delivery automation.
• More than 2 years of experience integrating application/platform components with CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in Git, YAML/JSON, scripting, build/deploy automation, environment promotion, artifact management, and configuration-as-code.
• Familiarity with API gateways, API management systems, middleware, microservices, or application integration frameworks.
• Understanding of pipeline-integrated validation, automated deployment checks, security gates, telemetry checks, and evidence of releases.
• Experience working in enterprise-controlled CI/CD environments where the toolchain is managed by another team.
